is one of my favorite books. It's a beautiful coming of age story, and honestly I think it helped me get through high school with hope. In the book the main character, Charlie, is mentored by his English teacher Bill (in the movie Bill was played by Paul Rudd ♥). He gives Charlie extra books to read outside of class and write reports on.These are the books: To Kill a Mockingbird

.As a challenge to read more I'm attempting to read all of the books Bill assigned. I've already read a To Kill a Mockingbird, The Great Gatsby, The Catcher in the Rye, and Hamlet in high school. What a great challenge! I did a book report in the 12th Grade about Perks and the significance of all the books that Bill made him read and compared it to The Catcher in the Rye. The protagonists in both stories are so similar and it makes perfect sense why Bill had Charlie read Catcher in the Rye and Peter Pan especially. I have read The same four that you have and I'm going to try this challenge, it's great! I thought the movie exceeded my expectations as well, I think the casting was SPOT on especially the actor of Patrick. Ok rant finished, love this book and this challenge.
